September brought more housing choice to GTA buyers, but sales remained subdued as many households continue to wait for greater economic confidence. The GTA recorded 5,040 sales, down 9% year-over-year, while the average selling price was approximately $1.006 million, down 5.1% from last year but higher than August.
While overall activity remains cautious, some neighbourhoods and property types are outperforming, particularly well-priced homes and new low-rise developments benefiting from competitive pricing and HST incentives.
